Light’s Lavaliere

Everything on or about their personage was ripped from their body. Clothing, bag, rapier: all were plucked from them by the mysterious light and cast far aside. They knew the citrine set of jewels that the traveller had given them would open the sealed stone door…but they hadn’t expected it would do anything more.

A deafening shriek. A blast burst through the narrow chamber that sent the adventurer reeling.

“MY GEMS” exclaimed what they could only surmise to be a deity – a demigod, at least, “BRING THEM TO ME”.

The necklace, earrings – even the ring – erupted in lemon light.
